Historical Information
Plaza Towers Elementary was established in 1966. When Plaza started out they were the roadrunners and their colors were gold and black. Around 1988-1989, Plaza Changed from the Roadrunners into the Panthers. Plaza stood strong for 47 years as the Plaza Towers Panthers. On May 20th, 2013, a tornado destroyed the school. The school has been rebuilt in the same location. The kindergarten hall is the safe hallway that has 4 classrooms as safe rooms. Plaza may look a little different than it did in 1966, however the Plaza Spirit is still alive and well. Teachers and employees of Plaza are passing that spirit to the 400 K thru 6th grade students that now walk the halls. As more students walk through the halls they will feel the love and education that has been held in this place!
